1)There is just some quality in film that cannot be replicated with digital. And getting shots like this requires quite a bit of experience to get the exposure right. Its often so easy to overexpose the sky when taking these landscape shots in film.
2) I've tried taking pictures in a desert before the setup is pretty intensive. Tripods need to be really stable (on loose grounds) and I see that you have a long exposure from the blurry ppl. Theres wind and sand flying around. And also you must remain absolutely still as any movement from your feet effects the trip (sand....)
Great shot indeed

I happen to get the exposure right, but I don't know how many shots I have ruined at sunset and sunrise. Every year I tell myself I'll pick up some ND graduated filters, but I never do. Fortunately, it is winter there and the light comes on quite slowly, so I have time to set things up in the way I want them.
We all get lucky! Thanks for taking the time to comment!
