You've got an account on Flickr? I just allowed my "pro" account there to expire. I like the options they have for quick-sharing photos, but it's been hard for me to get any decent criticism there. Do you have any criteria to determine which of the shots you take you post here versus which you post there?

Not really. I get zero feedback from Flickr, for whatever reason. Uploading to Flickr is a so easy, but I'm like you: I've stopped posting there because nothing gets critiqued and I get very few views. It makes me sad :(

DA tweaked their display pages, but not their upload process. Were they to totally rip off Flickr, it would make things far easier. The "pro" functionality on DA allows for FTP uploads, but still the process of submitting a piece can't compare to Flickr's ease. Flickr's userbase is so huge that unless you come on there with an "entourage" so to speak, it's difficult for a good photographer to get any attention- unless he or she spams a million groups with his or her work. Not sure why people don't critique more often on either site. Fear of offending people? That would defeat the purpose of criticism...
